New Paint for the Dining Hall

The Star FM Breakfast Club in association with C&A Entertainment launched an initiative to paint the Dining Hall at Harare Children’s Home. Clint Robinson, owner of C&A Entertainment is running this year’s London Marathon and wanted to give back to local charities as well as his adopted charity for the run - VSO. After discussions with the Breakfast Club team, two local charities were selected, with Harare Children’s Home being one of them. Clint launched an appeal and received donations in cash and in paint from a number of individuals and corporates.

Three professional painters were hired and on Saturday 9 March along with a group of volunteers the team started the clean-up and painting of the Dining Hall. The volunteers helped in the cleanup of the walls with sugar soap and clearing pictures ahead of the professional painters who then followed.

The final result was a lovely colourful room. There is additional paint left over and the team will be looking at other areas that require attention at the home.
